Journalist throws shoe at P Chidambaram the HOME Minister of India

Amritsar, April 13 (IANS) Delhi based journalist Jarnail Singh who tossed a shoe at Home Minister P. Chidambaram at a press conference in New Delhi April 7, Monday declined a job offer made to him by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee during a ceremony here.
The journalist was honoured by the SGPC at Golden Temple complex here for highlighting the plight of the 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims.
Avtar Singh Makkar, president of the SGPC, also held a closed-door 10-minute meeting with Jarnail Singh after honouring him. It was during this meeting that the SGPC chief made the job offer to Singh but he politely declined it.
“I am thankful for this honour. A job offer was made but I have declined the same. I have not heard anything regarding any action against me by my present employers,” Singh told media here.
The shoe-throwing incident catapulted Singh into a Sikh icon with several offers to honour him. His employers, Hindi newspaper group Dainik Jagran, apologised for his action and said it will take disciplinary action against him.
The SGPC, mini-parliament of the Sikh religion with an annual budget of Rs.4.48 billion (Rs.448 crore), had offered to give him a job and look after his family if he was fired by his employer after the shoe-throwing incident.
Singh flung his shoe at Chidambaram at the Congress headquarters to protest the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
“At that time I could not control my emotions as I was not satisfied with the minister’s answer to my question,” Singh told reporters here.
He accompanied by his wife and two children later offered prayers at the Golden Temple.

Pakistan President House Being Used For A Private Wedding

Please view the pictures, they speak for themselves.
The country is in state of war at the border, suicide attacks, increasing cost of living, short of electricity, shortage of funds with the government, financial advisor is begging and giving false hope to resolve financial crisis through loans and country’s top management is hosting wedding’s at tax payers cost.
Pictures show us the extreme need for funds through loans to maintain & host parties at the president house - no doubt…. Pakistan must default now.
Furthermore, Mr. President has instructed his men-at-service to pack up the Expensive crockery and use Low-Price crockery at President House - wow….
I believe that country’s top management is asking us to buy Cake instead of Bread!!!!

Chief justice lucky daughter gets into medical college on special quota

Farah Hameed dogar the daughter of the chief justice of Pakistan, whose FSc marks were jacked up, thereby, sparking a controversy, has already been admitted to a medical college against a special quota reserved for judges, although, the same college had refused to entertain her application before her marks were revised by the FBISE.The earlier refusal of the Islamic Medical College, Rawalpindi, had primarily come because Farah Dogar was in Grade-C with only 641 marks. But only a week after her first attempt, she submitted a fresh application along with a new marks sheet to the college, which accepted her application only because the new result showed her in Grade-B with 661 marks.
Farah Dogar’s case file also shows that after the validly-allowed re-checking of her answer sheets and improvement of her original marks from 640 to the previous 641, her file in the FBISE did not move for 20 days. It was during these days when the chief justice’s daughter first applied for the entry test in the Islamic Medical College.
However, the file suddenly found wings on Sept 10, 2008 when the then chairman FBISE Commodore (retd) Shamshad, in violation of the board rules, ordered: “Pl have the answer books of this candidate re-assessed.”
This order of the chairman came only five days prior to the last date — i.e. Sept 15, which was fixed by the administration of the Islamic Medical College for the submission of applications for the entry test.
Since the deadline was approaching fast, the controller of examination referred the case to his deputy controller examination on Sept 11. This deputy controller on the same day wrote on the file: “Special arrangements may please be made, as directed by the chairman, today” and referred it back to his controller of examinations.

Geo News anchor sana tariq's dubai pictures

Pictures of Sana Tariq who is the host of ARY Show Bakhabar Sawer, formerly she was a news caster on the popular news network Geo. She is popular among the people.
This clearly shows the on the loose character of these all celebrities. Even our political icons now don’t care about their image and personal lives.
There is a lot more can be said about these girls, but this the basic root for this type of acts should be found first, instead of blaming and correcting this all by force.
These celebrities are the icon of our country and represent our country in outer world, where a positive image is needed instead of an image that do not depict the true culture of our country

Gang-rape victim Mukhtaran Mai weds police constable

Mukhtaran Mai, the woman who was gang-raped by tribals in 2002 for seeking to save her brother from radical Islamic justice, has married a police constable from her native village in Muzaffargarh, a television channel reported on Sunday.
According to The News, Mai got married to Nasir Abbas Gabol. It was Gabol’s second marriage and Mai’s family members attended the event. Mai attracted the attention of local and international media after she was gang-raped on the orders of a panchayat. Instead of committing suicide as per tradition, she took her case to court and had her rapists arrested and charged. Last year, Mai, who has converted herself into a human rights activist, said women in Pakistan have to keep waiting for justice, which has been elusive.
She said that women had to face different kinds of pressures within the family as compared to their male counterparts, and were forced to live in a suffocating atmosphere. “Atrocities and excesses are committed against women almost in every country but they get justice in time,” but in Pakistan they were made to run from pillar to post and post to pillar for justice, she said. Commenting on different pressures on women in Pakistani society, Mai said that the father, brother, husband and then son were cause of the pressures. “Male members don’t have to face anything like that,” she said. Mai made these remarks while responding to journalists’ queries after she inaugurated the Civic Society Club in Qasimabad. Mai, who has travelled across the globe, attending conferences and retelling her ordeal to a world audience, sounded disappointed when she said she had not received justice so far. “The accused in my case were earlier convicted by one court, acquitted by another and now the case is pending adjudication before the apex court,” she said. She spoke of bottlenecks in the country’s criminal justice system and said that police usually did not bother to cover important points while registering an FIR.
Mai emphasised the need for creating awareness and educating women. “My native village is a backward area. People live in abject poverty and they are not interested in sending their children to schools,” the Dawn quoted Mai, as saying. Mai said that she had started her school with three girls and now it had 1,000 students. “I started it with my sister and another girl. I had to implore families to at least send one of their daughters or sisters to the school,” she recalled. Mai is from the village of Meerwala, in the rural tehsil of Punjab and suffered a gang rape as a form of honour-revenge on the orders of a panchayat (tribal council). In April 2007, Mukhtaran Mai won the North-South Prize from the EU Council of Europe. In 2005, Glamour Magazine named her “Glamour Woman of the Year”. Last month, president Asif Ali Zardari directed the provincial government of Punjab to take immediate steps to provide speedy relief to Mai and also ensure her security against harassment by culprits. Taking notice of various media reports in which it was pointed out that Mai is being subjected to harassment by some influential people, Zardari instructed the provincial government that justice should be delivered without fear or favour. Zardari also directed that report on the steps taken by the provincial government be sent to him. He made it clear that any effort by government functionaries to delay and deny justice to downtrodden and womenfolk, especially in the case of Mukhtaran Mai would not be tolerated.

Shameem Khan,The man who thrown Shoe is Hero or Zero?

The shoe thrower has become a hero for many, and he is also the target of the severe criticism from some circle. In some cities and towns of Pakistan he is being celebrated and in some his name is being burned.

Why he did that?

Because he felt that it was very cruel and apathetic of the president Asif Ali Zardari to visit the UK and France in these circumstances when the country was drowning in the floods. Thousands died, million displaced and the agony was going on, but the president was enjoying in France and UK.
